Set within a 7,500-hectare private reserve that shares an unfenced border with the Kruger National Park and spans 42km of river frontage, Mthimkhulu Wilderness Trails promises the ultimate walking safari experience.

Klein Letaba Bush Camp will act as your base, from which you will complete the wilderness trails. The camps setting is tranquil, surrounded by Jackalberry trees and overlooks the Klein-Letaba River.

Mthimkhulu, known for its free roaming large herds of elephants and buffalo between itself and the Kruger National Park. The walking trails will begin at first light each morning ending with a scrumptious bush brunch; return to camp for a brief siesta and shorter late afternoon walk and bush sundowner to follow. The attraction includes the riverbanks of the Klein & Big Letaba River, koppies and the unsurpassed bushveld.

The wilderness trail focus on quiet walking to maximize the opportunity to interact with nature, bird and game sightings and game tracks with frequent stops to allow for discussion and information shared by your guide. You will walk on average of 10 kilometres per day and spend three nights in the camp. Your chef will prepare meals around the fire and brunch in the bush for your enjoyment.
