LEISURE OPTIONS GROUP ANNUAL AWARDS DINNER

The annual awards gala was held in March at the beautiful Blue Marlin Hotel in Scottsburgh. Congratulations to all the winners!

1. Resort of the year 2016 – Medium Size Resort

The Medium Resort category is all self-catering resorts without any F&B or conferencing facilities irrespective of the number of beds as well as any resort with less than 100 beds in operation.

Winner: Mjejane Bush Camp

2. Resort of the year 2016 – Large Size Resort
The Large Resort category is for all resorts with 100 or more beds in operation as well as F&B operations and/or conferencing facilities.

Winner: The Peninsula All-Suite Hotel

3. Resort Manager of the Year 2016:
The Resort Manager of the Year Award is awarded for outstanding performance & achievement during the year.

Winner: Chris Godenir – The Peninsula All-Suite Hotel

4. Leadership Award for 2016
This is awarded to the individual who is recognised by his or her peers for guidance and development of fellow staff /agents in delivering great guest service during 2016.

Winner: Vikki Erasmus She was nominated both by her peers and team members. This already tells you a lot about the type of person she is. In the past 12 months she has grown from strength to strength and has taken on many complex responsibilities. This she has taken in her stride and has shown tenacity and perseverance in learning new skills and developing her own leadership skills. She sets the example of how to treat others with kindness and compassion and always has a smile on her face. She is thoughtful, dependable and a reliable team player. Always an enthusiastic leader who maintains professionalism and ensures that the job gets done. She is a tremendous asset for our team and an ambassador for the Dream Hotels and Resorts group.

5. Innovation Award for 2016:
This is awarded to the individual who is recognised by his or her peers for growth, scalability, cost saving or improvement of client servicing by means of innovation, thinking bigger & out-the-box during 2016.

Winner: Lana Lauderdale – Entertainment Manager, Blue Marlin Hotel
Lana was recognised by her peers and General Manager for the incredible contribution she has made with her innovation, dedication and commitment to the Blue Marlin. There is not a task Lana will not take on without much enthusiasm and through her innovative thinking and actions she makes every function a special event. Even with a limited budget she uses her creativity to blow away guests with the events she produces.

6. Top Shared Ownership Agency for 2016:
This award is presented annually to the agency generating the most sales in shared ownership to new owners

Winner – Winchester Marketing

7. Top Three Shared Ownership Consultants for 2016
This award is presented annually to the individual agents generating the most sales in Shared ownership.
In 1st Place – Maggi Dercksen
In 2nd Place – Mariette Forssman
In 3rd Place – Melody Eggar

8. Top DVC Agency for 2016:
This award is presented annually to the agency generating the most sales of Membership to new members and additional membership to current members
